It started with a question, "What is emo night missing?"

The answer was obvious but severely overlooked: It lacked authenticity and energy. Many of the events simply featured a DJ or a couple bands with no additional value to offer. The experience felt subpar, and the vibe wasn't as fun and nostalgic as it could've been.

The solution: create a high-quality, interactive, live-band emo night experience. How do we do that? By supplying resident headliners backed by quality local bands, and delivering vibes through positive energetic engagement.

We ran a pilot event with this idea in mind, and the result greatly exceeded expectations for a "first attempt." We knew we were on to something and created When We Were Emo: the best live-band emo party in the Midwest.

Dust off those chucks. It's time to get nostalgic.
